Life Fellowship Foursquare Church is a member of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG); more commonly known as The Foursquare Church. As part of a family that encompasses over 50,000 churches worldwide, Life Fellowship endeavors to reach hurting and needy people in the greater Charlestown, Claremont, as well as Springfield, VT. areas with the message of hope in Christ.
With our motto, "Different is Good," each Sunday service is an enthusiastic and joyful celebration of God's grace and mercy in our lives. Our worship style is uplifting and contempory, coupled with relevant messages from God's Word. You'll encounter many people who are casually dressed, and whose friendly faces have been touched by God's love.
Consider the tabernacle in the wilderness and later the Temple at Jerusalem. Every article of the tabernacle, and every carving of the temple, was a symbolic reminder of God's presence, power, and values for living our lives pleasing to Him. Hence, the values we establish in our lives and in our churches, shape our behavior and attitudes. Our values are what we become. Our values are who we are. At Life Fellowship, our Core Values can be summed up in an acrostic of the word - LIFE!
First is "L" for LOVE = Love is at the core of all we do. We love God because He first loved us. We love fellow believers because God's love is the adhesive that binds us together. And we love the lost because God's love for them is in our hearts.
Second is "I" for INSTRUCTION = Teaching the truths of God's Word is vital for any church that would grow up in the "unity of the faith," avoid error, and bring the body to the place of maturity the Lord has for them.
Third is "F" for FELLOWSHIP = The Cross of Christ is both vertical and horizontal in nature. Our fellowship must first be heavenward in relationship with Christ, and secondly, peopleward in relationship with one another in the body.
Fourth is "E" for EVANGELISM = All that we do can be summed up in one, simple, statement: "It's all about a soul." Jesus came to save sinners, and our charge is to do the same. Central to the Gospel is the need to introduce those separated from God to His Son Jesus.
Life Fellowship functions in accordance with the bylaws of The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG) which gives great latitude in governance and leadership style. Although led by a senior pastor, our leadership believes strongly in people and takes every effort to release faithful men and women into the ministry callings God has ordained for their lives. Life Fellowship further functions through a "team ministry" philosophy which encourages joint ownership and partnership in service to the body and the community. Life Fellowship also endeavors to model a servant-leadership style of ministry in which every leader plays a visible, and hands-on roll in the body-life of the church.
Current leadership is comprised of a Senior Pastor, assisting pastors and ministers, team ministry heads, and a "servant's" council which provides stewardship of church resources as well as providing a pool of future leaders for the "work of the ministry." "Every member a minister" is the ultimate goal of our church body.
